The Estate
Château Bowral sleeps up to 12 guests across four oversized bedrooms and three bathrooms, the whole estate booked exclusively to you, with no shared spaces and no other guests on the property. Every room has been considered for comfort as much as character: soaring ceilings, generous proportions, and a sense of occasion that carries through the whole stay.
The Rooms
-
Set apart in its own private wing, away from the other bedrooms, one of the largest bedrooms in Australia. A king bed looks out over sweeping views of vineyards and countryside through French shutters, with a sofa bed, walk-in wardrobe and a luxury French ensuite. An attached parlour and dressing room complete the suite, pure grandeur, and complete privacy.
-
A king bed, splittable into two singles, overlooking the paddocks. Grey and neutral tones give it a warm, modern French feel, with generous wardrobes and storage.
-
Another king, splittable into two singles, framed by French shutters and doors with paddock views. A sofa bed with trundle adds flexibility for families or groups, finished in soft neutral tones with ample wardrobe storage.
-
Set at the rear of the property and wrapped in vines, this room centres on a king bed and a French armoire, with warm, layered tones throughout.
-
Gather around the baby grand piano in the formal living room, or spread out across the estate's expansive living and dining spaces. Open fireplaces, stacked with firewood, keep every room warm through the cooler months, alongside the geothermal heating running quietly beneath the entire home, so warmth reaches every corner, not just the rooms with a fire lit. The chef's kitchen is built for real cooking and real celebration, with commercial-grade capacity for private chefs and catering teams.
-
IStep outside to covered alfresco dining, a heated saltwater pool pavilion, one of only a few in the region, and beautifully landscaped gardens rolling out across 14 private acres. Original French doors, fountains and a Port Cochère frame the estate on both sides, rare architectural details that guests notice the moment they arrive.
-
With sweeping gardens, French architecture and light-filled interiors at every turn, Château Bowral is as photogenic as it is comfortable, a favourite backdrop for photo shoots, video and promotional content, styled shoots and advertising campaigns.
-
Geothermal heating, an independent water supply and Enviro Cycle systems run quietly behind the scenes, genuine 17th-century-inspired architecture, fitted for the way we live today.
